Hailstorm Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 The difference is what cards they fit. I have a Rev.3 on my 9800XT

ccokeman Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 revision 3 does not have the single plate method of mounting and IMO it stinks. No support for the heatsink. I have both the rev 2 and 3 and prefer the 2. If you are not getting an all in wonder or XT i would try and find the revision2. hardnrg Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 maybe you are talking about the NEW "ATi Silencer" series? (as opposed to the "VGA Silencer" series) the ATi Silencer 1 vs the ATi Silencer 3... i can't be arsed to look cos the arctic-cooling site doesn't even have them listed... stupid site... anyway... both fit the 9800 pro difference is 1 cools the gpu, 3 cools the gpu AND the memory... i could be wrong, but that's what i remember
