Is there a demo stress test or something that i can check the FPS im getting in this game? im real interested to see it.

there's a program called fraps that you can run before you start any game to show th FPS you are getting

not sure if battlefield vietnam has it but i know bf1942 and desert combat have a console command that shows fps as digital numbers top right corner and a graph line that flows across the screen while you play

 

i think the console command is :

 

 

console.showfps-1

or

console.showfps 1

or

console.showfps=1

 

its been a long while since ive used it since every card that ive had since my 4680 and my 5900 have all maxed out that games fps at 99.99999999 blablabla lol

 

to turn it off its the same command but instead of 1 its 0 (zero)

There's a simplified console command-just type fps 1. You can view your fps that way, but I don't think there's any benchmark per se. I find FRAPS unreliable because FRAPS itself can cause a performance hit.

Recording gameplay is useless anyway, whenever I try it it only captures the top left hand side of the screen, probly like 400x300 pixels. Retarded.

Check out Gamecam. Even the free version is way cooler than FRAPS.
