pi-dickens_project Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 (edited) Well, muchos hard feelings against "ANUS" lol SO what of the DFI against an ABIT IC7 MAX? I mean hey, if im looking at something that comes with a fan on the NB, thats pretty much a plus. In what way does DFI actually out weith the abit? bdylyzsouless Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I would say the abit and the lanparty go pretty much head to head. Either is a good choice. I'm just all bout the UV.
pi-dickens_project Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Sweet, I'll def look into a DFI lanparty.... if they are pretty much equal then i think my only deciding factor will be mobo features and price, mainly price. Capslock118 Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 well i heard alot of bad things about ASUS but never actually tried one. My one ex-g/f's dad had an asus, and he was all proud telling me he had his computer OCed but i went to find out later in life, it wasnt OCed much at all...poor little guy..haha...anyways I have an ABIT now, and it performs quite amazingly if thats a good word to use. I would have stuck with them but wanted to try something else. So I got an MSI for my new set of upgrades, the chip isnt here yet though so i cant comment on that manufacturer either. Though sandman has been having some OCing problems with his MSI board haha...poor guy.
pi-dickens_project Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I have a friend that was having some problems with his MSI. From what happened to him, it kind of turned me off on MSI
Eva_Unit_0 Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 MSI rocks...I've had great experiences with them. (K8N Neo Platinum, PT880 FISR, K7N2 Delta-L, 745 Ultra) I've loved each one of those boards. I also had awesome experiences with Albatron boards. Those two tend to be my personal favorite. pi-dickens_project Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Ahhhhh, so It was the ASUS board that kept crapping up? I couldnt remember which one it was. MSI must have ben the one that wasnt the best overclocker but ws really stable, right?

confuzzedintelguy Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 /\ *lga 775* /\ and i agree not all there products suck they are just having a hard time right now with there a64 boards but no matter what i would still go with a DFI or EPOX over ASUS becuse the vcore sometimes jumps arround to much on a ASUS
GTSticky Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Everyone buys the Max3 because they see OTES and they crap their pants thinking its the solution to solve all problems Uh, no. Many people buy this board because it's a good board. OTES is just a nifty feature, not the end-all.
Hyper Threaded Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I am reminded once again why I hate this board with a passion. Something is wrong with the sensors on the board, so everytime the computer boots up, it freezes hard when MBM5 loads, it does the same thing nearly everytime I start any monitoring software. So everytime I boot-up it takes three, four, or maybe even five times before it finally loads smoothly.
r_target Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 My question is: what do you want a Max III or a Lanparty to do that the IS7 can't do?
