Installing Sata Drives

Ok, i've got my drives in, set my raid 0 up, ran xp setup, xp partitioned, formatted and installed set up files, restarted...and nothing. No hdd load, no nothing. I have no idea what's going on. please help!

is it set to 'boot from SATA' as your primary boot device in BIOS? If that doesnt work, set your primary as 'SCSI', some machines only boot form SCSI even if it is sata, still, dont worry bout which one.

 

Also, make sure that when you installed you unplugged any ide hdd, plug them back in after you have installed.

Hmm.

 

Sev- I got through that part. installed sata drivers and windows inital format/install setup files worked fine. After the restart when the actual set up begins is where the problem is.

 

shadow - I unplugged the ide, and tried loading with bios set to load scsi and to load sata...neither worked. just a plain black screen after the "setup is inspecting hardware..."
