snipermav Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 The R360 core is known to overclock better than the 350. The 360 is the same core that is in the 9800 XT. As far as overclocking, you can raise both the core speed and the mem speed at the same time, doesn't matter really. Just don't go too far too fast, and test for artifacts after every step. Byron Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 the memory will probably be your limitation on that chip, because in the XT they use a better memory than the pro. the r360 core should be able to OC to 9800xt speeds, but dont expect a whole lot after that. iNCUBUS89 Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 or with the R360 U can juss softmod it to the 9800 Xt first and o/c it higher from there
kurosen Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 SeV, I'd check the type of RAM chips you have on the card first, if you they are labeled Samsung then I would DEFINITELY try going for the softmod to the 9800XT... If you got stuck with hynix mem (like me <_< ) then just try pushing an OC with the BIOS it came with...
r_target Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 I would just OC it. Mine does 450/390 (DDR780).

With decent cooling you can go past xt stock speeds. See my post above.
