Well in cali in order to get your permit you need to take a "pre-permit class" Once taking this class, you get your permit then to use it with your parents you need professiona behind the wheell training first, this comes to a total of 324$... FOR MY PERMIT! What the f#<k is that $|-|!() about? ...I am pissed i work hard for my money and the danged govnt pretty much steals it back... So when i heard this, i called the DMV thinking my friends where just screwed over and lied to about the 1st set of classes... Turns out they werent... Anyway worst part is its on saturday @ 7:30 in the morning! Last time i came home @ 2am so i got like 5hours of sleep... I talked to some people in other states... Some dont even have to take classes at all, go get the test take it home and bring it back the next day and get there permit.

%>

Pre-Permit Class: 1.09 bills (109$)

Post-Permit Classes (Behind the wheel): 2.14Bills (214$)

__________________________________________

Total: 324$ Which is total [email protected]#[email protected] ....

it is the same in New Jersey, almost

1. Pass the Drivers Test

1.a. At School after Driver Education

1.b. At the DMV when you turn 16

2. Take 6 hours of behind the wheel, around $250

3. Get Permit

4. Turn 17 get Restricted Lincense, One non-family member, 6am-11pm (or something like that)

Here in Nj you can get your Permit at 17 with no Driver Instruction and with passed test, then your lincense at 18.

Wow....Florida has it easy in terms of getting a permit/license

To get my Permit at age 15 I only had to do:

1. Pass Class E written Exam (Signs and rules, all multiple choice)

2. Pay $25 for the license

To get a License at age 16 in Florida:

1. Hold Permit for one year, with atleast 40 hours behind the wheel with a responsible driver 21 or older (Could be anyone even your parents) AND

2a. Pass Drivers Education Class, usually at school, so its free

OR

2b. Take Class E Road Test at DMV (This is what i did.....way to easy)

And it didnt cost anything to get my regular License.

I guess thats one good thing about Florida.

In Illinois for permit you have to:

1. Get a slip that says your enrolled in drivers ed.

2. Pass the Class E test a DMV (Super easy didn't miss one)

In Illinois for a lisecense you have to:

1. Had your permit for 3 months

2. Completed a drivers Ed class with a passing grade

3. Had 7 hours of driving time with the instructor

4. Had your parents fill out a time sheet that says you have done 24 hours of driving with them

5. Passed a written test a DMV similar to Permit test

6. Passed road test with a DMV employ.

My permit was like $15 and my class was like $300.

Pretty much Wisconsin's.

Pass the permit test, have permit 3 months, drive 30 hours, with 10 hours night driving (they didn't even look at my sheet :\ ) pass driver license test (written) and pass driving test. Maximum 25 points of driving test.

texas yoou have to have ur permit 6 months(total cost for classes is liek maybe 340) then we have some like step up driving program untill ur 21 to get a full dirvers liscense

Illinois just made it so that on your driver license it says what year you turn 18 and what year you turn 21. They also just made a rule that says you can only have one friend (immediate family excluded) in your car for the first 6 months you have your liscense or till you turn 18. Thats how the catch all the kids around here for booze and what not.

  • 1 month later...

yeah thats how it works in North Kackilakee too. I personally think that step up program (only one non-family member in your vehicle, can't drive after 9PM for 6 months) is a crock of crap, but then again im not a boozing night crawler like other kids are. and i dont have much reason to be out after 9 unless im seeing a movie or coming home from work
