crypnite Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 (edited) Alright, this might seem like a silly question, but it's been bugging me since I put my computer together. I currently have a Thermaltake WinGo V7000 case. This case has two fans on the side(stacked), one fan in back, one fan up front and one fan at the top. Now, the question: Which fan should be blowing in which direction?!? I'm pretty sure the top fan blows out, and the front fan pulls in...other than that I'm at a loss. Thanks for the help...and few snide remarks... <_< Edited September 25, 2004 by crypnite
evanin Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 in general, the side ones blow in, the back blows out. You can experiment with different directions and see what gets your computer the coolest.
suchuwato Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 they blow in at the front and out at the back usually, can't you stick your head in and feel the breeze?
anthony Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 a quote from my comp engineering homework Heat rises so the strongest fan should be positioned at the highest point as exhaust. The intake does not have to be that powerful, just strong enough to push air into the case. If you have a side panel or window fan, that should be an intake, it is usually positioned over the CPU, northbridge or beside the AGP slot. crypnite Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Thanks! I'll refrain from sticking my head in...but there should be a cat roaming around the house somewhere...

worker Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Also on the top of the case it blows out because heat rises.
