Capslock118 Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 sorry if this was posted b4 or whatever. But here is my idea.... im not the type of person to go look through the the forums to help people, I only look at the home pages first 5. And ive noticed that, unless someone does take the time to look at each forum area, some peoples questions will go unanswered. I thought it be a nice idea if OCC were to expand their small list of top 5 recently commented topics to say maybe 20 or 30? This way there is a better chance for everyones questions to get answered more fully with more peoples comments..... this would obv have to give OCC a face change which would be a downfall if everyone likes it the way it is, maybe put all the affiliates on one side and the threads on another? I think it be a good idea, what does everyone else think? esp. the admin?
Marine Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 (edited) how are they going to do that without making the whole section for it take up half the site? Edited September 25, 2004 by Marine
STC Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 that's a good idea maybe an option in our CP
Capslock118 Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 it wouldnt take up the whole site....it would just use one side of the site....like you would have to push the affiliates and sponsors to the right, and put the latest forum topics on the left hand side, and possibly make the center less wide. it was just an idea.... or maybe have like, all its advertising on the top, then on the right side would be the news and reviews and such, and the left would be the forum topics..... now that i think of it, i guess thats what the active topics page is for haha
henbenley Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 I dont really like that idea simply becuase I just go and look at the forums where I know stuff and might actually be able to help. I generally dont look in the memory forums cause I'm still confused about timings and such and I would just confuse everyone else. I like it the way it is. andrusk Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 I use the "View new posts" button at the top right side of the screen. That way I say anything that has been posted since my last visit no matter where it is in the forum.
