Freeder Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 (edited) I have a 3.2C Intel right now it is giving me errors when mildly oc'ing to 3.53 while under full load when running Prime95; temps reach only 54 C, and that's because my room is fairly hot. Is this a sign of a bad chip, or an under-performer overclockingwise? Thanks for the input. BloodySunday Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Thats kind of high temps for a NW I don't think the chip is bad souns more like heat is causing instability.
FaNta84 Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 i dont think your chip is bad. I have a 3.2C and i could get to 3.53 as well on stock voltage and then the errors started coming at anything past that. youll have to up the voltage to get more out of that chip, and it seems like you're running it pretty hot, so try to get those temps down
r_target Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 The 3.2's don't have a reputation as the most stellar OCers. Might be the heat, or it might be all the chip's going to give you.
