Cyberfury Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 So for those of you who remember my thread a couple weeks back when I fried my motherboard (same as in my sig) because I upped my voltage to 1.9 and played around with my multiplier and FSB settings, well, if you remember, my UPS alarm went off when my mobo overvolted. Regardless, this happened yesterday AGAIN (except this time nothing got damaged thankfully), but I think it's happening because we have two computers plus peripherals hooked into my UPS power supply. So now I have my PC running off a seperate outlet. Anyways, looks like my UPS might be at fault.

Cyberfury Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Well I figured a UPS would be a good idea if my girlfriend or I were ever working on anything important and the power went out or a surge hit us or something. It'd be nice to have that five minute window to shut everything down safely. Of course, in this case it seems to have caused more harm than good.... Still, it's nice to have ultra-expensive electronics protected.
