OweO2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 what games ar you playing m8? unfortunately with the fx5200 it isn't really designed for gaming but designed as a value card. you could try altering detail settings and filtering settings in games to get a performance boost. however this will bring you single figuire fps increases. unfortunately to get a real benefit youd have to upgrade. InvaderTrax Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Do you truly have no money (or, at least very little) or do you only have like $80? Cause you could still get a decent upgrade for that much. Anyway, what speed are you running now?

oralpain Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 (edited) Umm, that card will never run counter-strike: source very well. Plenty of tweaks you could do to get it playable (maybe), but don't expect much out of that card. Sell your case and you current card and get a reall vidoe card. Then just set you mobo on a table and plug everything into that. Cases are overrated, I don't have a case. GuJuMaN89 Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 i heard there is a way to flash the bios for the card and make it a 5200 ultra, is it true?
OweO2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 thats possible but seeming as thou the 5200 ultra is a 5200 with higher clock speeds youd notice no difference than to overclocking it ( so long as you don't have a 5200 se) also you have a high chance of killing the card in the process.
