Photoshop; Need Help.

I have this picture of my two friends, and i want to make only one of them black and white and keep the rest color..... Is there any way I can do that?????

You could crop the friend out then set the color settings to black and white.. or greyscale. I dont remember where the option is; but it is either the first thing you see when creating a new picture or somewhere around where the save button is.

Take the magnetic select tool (can't think of the proper name at the time) and just go around the edge of the friend and then after you close it only that should be selected and then Desaturate them to get rid of color.

the magnetic lasso sucks. If you want it EXACT, you have to do it by hand via the regular lasso. OR, you can duplicate the layer and use your eraser around the edges, as it's easier to correct mistakes with that than a lasso. Then you'd just b&w the back layer, and keep your friend in color on top.
