01blacksnake Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I bouth a Dell a few years ago with a P3 1.0 ghz processor. I looked in the BIOS and most of the stuff to even think about OC'ing was grayed out. Can I overclock this thing?
bishop245 Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 you may be able to use a proggy like cpu cool or something to oc it but most likely it wont oc at all because the big companies dont like people to oc the comps lol they lock them down harder than Ft. DECwakeboarder Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 I saw a site somewhere that had bios' that can be used on prebuilt pc's to allow OCing on them, dunno where that was at tho...sorry
Eva_Unit_0 Posted September 17, 2004 Posted September 17, 2004 Yep, the big issue is that it's a dell. The 1ghz P3 actually overclocks pretty well, since it's the beginning of the Tualatin core chips...but that dell mobo is going to kill any chance of really ramping it up.
