agentorange Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Oh, man I love free computers! Since I work in "IT" at my school I get first pick over all of the surplus stuff and it's great! I have gotten an 866 mhz dell (I doubt I can oc it but I will try tonight) more 400+ mhz machines than I will ever want, and I recently found a bright pink iMac (I know it's a Mac and all but it's a piece of history and will get some attention). bigred Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 hey, you should see the stuff my wife has dragged home. she's brought home IBM XT's and PS/2's... and she's brought home a few nicer ATX clones that had usable cases and a few other odds and ends. I used to fix that stuff up and donate it. speaking of my house you should see the people that have to stop and dig thru the trash in front of my house god throw out a few bad 21" sony crts and they think it's a gold mine every week!!!! of course it never fails we ALWAYS have a box from either a whole system or a tower I dragged home from work too (it's easier to carry paperwork and other crap that way). so of course they go nuts for that kinda stuff to see what's in it... oh yeah, roadkill tell the folks about the box I sent your stuff in those are normal in the trash for me. Duke Atreides Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 General, In the US, the streets are littered with money, and you find expensive furniture and computers on the curbs.
