Kamikaze_Badger Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Ok, I have about $60 USD to work with. What should I go for, for gaming that requires no skipping whatsoever, and to respond to the slightest touch. And looks good as well. Would an Icemat be nice? Folding_Buddha Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Omg dude it is a mouse and a pad it is not like you creating a computer just go to best buy and get a good mouse and a sponge bob square pants pad.
GTSticky Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Logitech MX510 is teh siht. Best mouse I've ever used. I'm testing the Xtrac Hammer mousing surface. Its good, thin and pretty reliable but occasionally on very small movements the mouse jumps. I actually have better luck with an entirely black pad that I use at home. The Logitech can be used on ANY surface (I've used my leg in bed, for example).
Kamikaze_Badger Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 The MX510 looks pretty dang good... Hell, I'LL TAKE IT! But, is there enough room to mod in a fan? My hand gets dang sweaty fast, and it's not very preferable.

Kamikaze_Badger Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Um, I'm looking for a mouse and mousepad... not a mouse and keyboard. If I'm going to have to use the family computer for this long, I'm going to make myself at home with it. Coming soon(hopefully): New motherboard and AMD Athlon 2500-m(to be overclocked like hell). anthony Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 KB, you REALLY dont need a fan in that moouse. it doesnt fit either, that things tight fit, and by putting a fan your gona need an external power source. whcih is impractical and a waste of time. you dont need to cool your hands while gaming. if you really wnat to put a fan your gona have to use one of those bal mouses. Shadowfactor Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 icemat would be good, with a MX510 Ice Mat and a Razor Viper I love mine and no skipping
evanin Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 my all black gateway mouse pad from 1995 works great with my Microsoft Optical Mouse(wired of course), total cost was around $30. I get no skipping in CS, America's Army, Vietcong. The main reason for missing is my poor skills, but that is another story...
