Radeon 9800 Pro Vs All-in-wonder

I was trying to figure out the major differences between the Radeon 9800 Pro and the 9800 All-In-Wonder. Here is what I figured out:

- The All-In-Wonder has a cable TV input, a TV decoder, and a remote control. It does not look like the tuner decodes HDTV. Has 1 monitor output, and 1 TV output.

- The 9800 Pro does not have a TV input or decoder, but has 2 monitor outputs and a TV output.

It looks like you could jack with the TV output on the All-In-Wonder to get a second monitor, but it wouldn't be very high quality. I am not sure that the TV capture on the All-In-Wonder is any better than a TV capture on my cheap Avermedia UltraTV PCI card. (Does anyone know?)

I am tending towards going with the slightly cheaper 9800 Pro (in case I ever want to set up a second monitor) and keeping the my cheap Avermedia card as a Catv decoder. Then when the price of HDTV tuners come down, I might get one of them.

Does anyone have any insights I might be missing?

Thanks!!!

well the aiw-9800 is not designed for 2 monitors, but it supports tv/monitor @ the same time. the tv output quality would b based on the tv and card, but the 640 by 480 resolution will look better than that because tvs dont support that type of resolution. if u want a nice tv output, u need a hdtv converter. so if u wanna save some cash, get the pro, as for me, i would like the aiw because i need my slots for my network cards. check out the conveter @ ati's website.

Thats another good point. I like to use as few PCI slots as possible, and using a seperate slot for a TV tuner card is a negative for the pro.

Are there any games that use the second monitor? I know at work I live having the second monitor just for mail, internet, spreadsheets, so I am not sure the advantages of having 9800 quality for the second monitor.

Thanks.
