Guest n3tworked Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 man, i was thinking about water cooling my system, but im getting those temps by air cooling, is that all i have to look forward too? water cooling is kick ., this is my 3rd water cooled system, i amjust having problems with it thats why its running like ., once i fix the problem i should be running a 26 idel 33@full load
GregP24 Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Lapping is just sanding down the waterblock/HS so that it's smoother. This allows for better contact with the thermal compund by removing the roughness on the waterblock/HS. Supposedly, when I lap my SP-94, my load temps should drop around 10C. I believe there is an excellent lapping write-up on this site.
exeter_acres Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 that kit uses a VERY small radiator...I would think those temps are about right witha very small rad

Guest n3tworked Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 i am very desapointedof swiftech the water block i got is alot less smother than the one on review sites the water block they send them is almost like mirror, by the way i think ifound one of my problems i have my radiator inside the case with fan mounted on it and i have noticed that the hot air bounces back on the case grill with small holes ! you think it can be of the problems !? btw: i have planed to lap my water block
aarone Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 something must be wrong with that set up I am using a thermal take aquarius 2 with the stock fan on the radiator at 80cfm and i am getting 35 full load.....maybe it is just because i have a tornado blowing directly on my water block as well im about to lap my block and see how that works out

aarone Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 maintain it properly and becareful when installing and you should not have any type of leaks.....i would not buy any water block unless it was pure metal....no plexiglass seals to be broken
