Hey all. Name's Tyler. I've been a computer tech for a point-of-sale software compnay for the past 5 years but I'm still a newb to building arena. I just built my third computer but I haven't really done much as far as mods. That's where this site comes in. Here are my current specs:

Antec SOHO Server tower 1040B (400W PSU)

Windows XP Pro SP1

AMD 3200+ XP w/Barton core 400MHz FSB

Vantec Aeroflow HSF

ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo

1GB Crucial Ballistix PC3200 (512X2)

Gainward Golden Sample Geforce 6800 128MB oc'd to 425MHz/800MHz

Creative Labs Audigy X-Gamer

40GB Seagate Barracuda

Lite-On OEM 52X32X52 CD-RW

Pioneer Slot Load DVD-ROM

1 Liquid Cathode tube (blue)

2 80mm Antec blue LED case fans (exhaust)

2 80mm Antec case fans (intake)

I know that I should be able to overclock my CPU quite a bit, even without a water cooling system, but I've always been nervous about messing with it. In fact, I only just overclocked my video card last night via a guide I got off another site. I've seen what some of you guys are capable of and it's pretty incredible stuff. I'd like to get more involved.

When I made this topic, I was waiting for my Ballistix to arrive in the mail. I was using Crucial DDR400, but just the regular stuff. Since building my computer I'd been having random reboot problems and I was hoping it was the RAM that was causing it. Well, I got my Ballistix today and it's really awesome stuff! Before, whenever I'd try to play Farcry it would reboot after about 5 minutes. I've been playing it all day and not once have I suffered a crash. This is great!

Anyway, glad to be a part of the forum. I'm looking forward to playing with my CPU and see what I can squeeze out of it (wow, if that didn't come off sounding all wrong....).
