markiemrboo Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 (edited) The other number is called FSB or Front Side Bus. 240x15 would get you 3600 yes and... yes .. you probably would need to raise the voltage a little to get that Edited August 21, 2004 by markiemrboo
GmAz Posted August 21, 2004 Posted August 21, 2004 you can never be sure if you can auctually hit that number. Just go up in 2-5 Mhz increments depending on how stable the current OC is. If you are beginning to max out y our OC, go 2mhz increment. If you are just starting, go 5Mhz increments. Only increase the vcore when it is needed, i.e. when you crash outta windows it it starts to load or somethignlike that. Try to get as much FSB as you can, that is the faster OC. The entire bus of the computer will run faster with a faster FSB. make sure you lock your AGP clock at 66Mhz and dont' forget you also have to increse the voltage to your ram. have fun, go slow, be safe...wait, its OCing, never safe. after doing this, download somethignlike Prime95 and run it for some time. I usually do 6 hours after each major increase in OC. cheers!!! [[EDIT]] wow, so many spelling errors to fix. Hope you can make it out, too lazy to fix them all.
