denilia Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Hi all I am trying to overclock my ASUS P4B533 moterboard. However, I am not sure what parameteres are "safe" to change and not to burn my system. Please give me some advise and maybe sample configurations. My system: MotherBoard: ASUS P4B533 BIOS 1015 CPU: Intel P4 2.4 533 512K L2 Memory: 1 x 512MB (PC2700) 2x 256MB (PC2700) Video: ATI Radeon 8500 (AGP) OS: Windows XP SP2 Thank you
r_target Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 Raise your front side bus slowly, 5Mhz at a time. If you have the option in the BIOS, disabling spread spectrum seem to help too. Don't push anything too hard too fast.
