Kc.rr (roadrunner) Is Getting Too Slow.

Ok... I have had Road Runner for over 3 years now and i, for the most part, have been happy with it... until recently. Within the past 2 or so months, i have noticed that my download speeds will NOT exceed 75k/sec and my upload is as fast as 56k dial up... I was looking at their site to see if maybe i could upgrade to a faster package but i noticed something really cheesy... They only have 1 plan and they dont even mention the speed of it... I tried their chat and they kept taking me around in circles. I called in, and after talking to Apu for 10 minutes, they put me on hold for over 35 minutes until i hung up! I am tired of paying 44.95 a month for dial up cable lol. What are my other options of GOOD QUALITY and FAST ISPs in my area? I was looking at some SDSL as a few of my friends have that and it kicks azz. I do a lot of uploading and downloading files so i do need a reasonably fast connection. What are some of my options?

Thanks for reading through my lengthy post... Newport.

Just on the safe side I would use this to test bandwidth. Just so you have solid info when talking to Abu. ( I make the blue collar comedy tour sound like imposters. Needless to say I have to request someone who speaks a english I can understand. Man that that upset them. )

I loved my DSL when I had it but it doesn't compair with what cabel is capable of. Although I have been seeing advertisements for 3Mbit DSL wich is alot faster than it was when it started out.

Since then I've moved outside of the DSL coverage area and the cabel company has been telling me they will have cabel internet offered in my area soon, wich I can not wait for. Dial up is the debil.
