2.80c Or 2.80e

Recommended Posts

hi there i have a chance to switch from a 2.80c to a 2.80e, but i hear that the prescott chips are bad when it comes to heat using stock cooling. i currently have my 2.80c oc to 3.20. should i swap for the 2.80e or stick with the 2.80c. any help appreciated.

thanks

Keep the NW. The Prescott is a bad move right now, it runs hotter and peforms worse at similiar speeds. You'll need about a 200MHz jump on the prescott to keep up with a NW.

BTW: Since Intel is going to quit making NW chips, its value will rise soon. I would hold on to it, as you may get more for it later on.
