tarkins Posted September 12, 2002 Posted September 12, 2002 Ok, I tried to find a termal sensor in my local stores, but they don't have it!!! Where can I find a thermal sensor
ShadowLord Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Ok this will sound weird but it does work. I went to Target and picked a Inside/Outside little Temp gauge. For outside temps it has a little thermal sensor with 3M sticky that your suppose to put outside your window. Well I compared it against a CPU Sensor my brother uses and its only like a 1C degree difference. Close enough for testing the GPU. So I stuck in on the back of my GeForce3 GPU and put the little gauge on my desk(It comes with like 4 feet of wire). Now I know my GPU temp by just looking down by my keyboard. Just an idea. I currently run between 39C(idle) up to 44C(Full Load).

ShadowLord Posted September 14, 2002 Posted September 14, 2002 Link???????????? Maybe you missed the fact that I said "I went to Target". Umm there a Retail store like Kmart or Venture or WalMart. Any regular Retail Store that Sells Temperature gauges for your house should have what I was talking about. You just want to make sure that it has a little outside Temp Sensor. This is just what I did. Not saying its a perfect idea by the way.

tarkins Posted September 15, 2002 Posted September 15, 2002 Ok I just buy my temperature gauge and it works find. My video idle temp is 36.6 and my full load temp (20 min of 3d Mark) is 37.7. Can I OC my video card or is those temperature are already hot enought. It is now at 300/600.
tarkins Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 I now OC my card to 310/630. It is still very stable and the GPU temp never goes over 37.7 C. Is there any danger to OC it more? (same questions then my first msg in this thread)
