Dignan Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 I have a A64 3200+ system on the same board... I found that before Vcore needed to be higher then 1.55 became an issue the AGP/PCI would run out of spec causing instability. What "FSB" (actually HTT) are you running? It might be unstable because of the lack of AGP/PCI lock, not because it needs more voltage.
Vampire Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 You could do a volt mod and endanger your mobo/cpu/ram etc, but I doubt you'd need it. If you need help on any volt mods of any kind check out www.xtremesystems.org forums, they have some good help when it comes to "xtreme" stuff like that, most of us average joe's dont volt mod anyways, you dont really need to
chomorro Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Volt mod sounds dangerous, i cant afford a whole new system. I was trying run 220fsb so i can hit 2.2ghz. It will run fine with 2.8ram 1.55vcore for a few hours and then all of a sudden blue screen and windows will restart. How high did you get Dignan?? Dignan Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 I could sit in windows at 226, mess around at 220, and could never bench at over 218. I ran at 218 for a while but it messed up my raid array. I could hit 218FSB at stock 1.5 Vcore, the AGP/PCI lock F*ed me.
