Jakalwarrior Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Can you get better timings out of ram by upping the voltage? and whats a safe voltage for no name ram? (Currently running at stock voltage, board supports a huge range from super low, to insane meltdown on everything, even agp). Summary, my ram is 333(166) and my FSB is only 133 Ive tested the 333 vs the 266 each with the best timings I could squeeze, in sandra the 333 seemed to still yield a good bit more, but maybe if I can squeeze the timings a bit more with volts? There is pretty much no way I can match my FSB to my rams stock speed. That would be a celeron 2.0 at 3320mhz on air. Dont really see that happening since it gets unstable around 3.1 (20x multiplyer)
spectrascope Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 timing have minimal bench mark effect try to up the fsb and the ram maybe 166 bus and 350 or 360 on the ram
Jakalwarrior Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 That would be a 1.32 ghz overclock. Ive seen other people claim that much or more but they were using alternate cooling systems.
