oralpain Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 (edited) For video editing in that price range I would recommend a Pentium 4 3Ghz (or higher), with at least a gig of PC3200 ram and a large, reasonably fast harddrive. Hitachi's 7k250s and Maxtor's MaXLine III appear to be the best performing 7,200 rpm hardrives. Western Digitals 10,000rpm raptors are a bit faster but they are expensive and don't really have enough room for lots of video.
