Why Must It Take So Long?

To get on the team? I've being folding for nearly a week now, and I'm still not on the team. I thought it only took about 36 hours .

Double check to make sure that your name and login match exactly! capitalizatoin and spacing included.

yeah...make sure that you are actually folding on 12772. that's the first step.

it took me 7 work units to get on the team. i'm guessing like 500 points or something.

Your forum name will have to be changed to Kamikaze_Badger. PM to LinuxProX should fix it.

Yes. The problem was: The 3rd party site where we use to get our stat data from converted ALL names with spaces to underscores. This means even if your name on the forum and folding had a space in it, it was still converted to an underscore. Therefore, that screwed up my recognition script and made it look as if you were not folding, even though you were.

 

Here is how to get your DNA strand:

 

1. Use the same name on folding as you do in the forums. If your username in the forums has a space in it, put a space in it on folding. If it has an underscore then put the underscore in folding. It's not case sensitive.

 

2. Make sure you're folding for team 12772.

 

3. Wait 24-36 hours or until you have completed 1-2 WU's.

Well, it looks like I'm folding, according to the certificate thing... 6 WU's so far.

 

 

 

 

 

And, I just noticed something. F@H isn't showing up in my taskmanager... and CPU usage is low. I have rebooted my computer, but that shouldn't be a problem, should it? What should I do?

Which installation did you run? If it's the command line console one instead of the other system one, you need to manually start the program every time you run windows (ie put it in the startup)

It's the one installed as a background service. It's back up and running now... ironically, from a reboot. Thanks for your help, guys.
