Switching To Amd

you gotta get the k8t800pro, that has the agp/pci lock.

 

 

also...what do you guys think about this mobo?

it's chaintech...not very big company, but that motherboard got good reviews on newegg...sooo...i need to know more!

I've heard very good things about that board. I considered buying it before I got my K8N Neo.

oh, i thought you were talking about the 64bit system, sorry.

 

 

prolly after shipping, $240 or so.

 

 

PM me if you are serious about it, Processor and Mobo. I will include a heatsink (stock, lapped to 600 grit. i get idle temps of about 32c-33c, load at 53c, AS5, vcore 1.65)

ok, i've got another question. would the amd 2800+ 64 be able to overclock past 3200 on PC3200 ram + SP94? also, would it be better for folding?

umm....i don't really fold 24hrs a day on it, but it folds well? on a 400 step tinker it's about 9 minutes a step

 

 

that's running at 3.14ghz btw

 

 

i'm headin to bed...gotta get to work at 7 tomorrow

Sorry to go off topic but... 9min a step?? Wow I thought my rig was slow. I got a 400 tinker going right now and its doing bout 6min a step @ 2.01Ghz. You got any other apps running in the back aiRman?
