I usually don't have the patience and motivation to do it either, Nerm. Really, you need to sort of mentally abuse yourself. Tell yourself that you're weak if you're going to give up so soon, etc. (Not recommended if you have a reeeeal low self-esteem)

Little help for you guys if you are in a Best Buy go up to the P.C. upgrades counter and se if they have any of the $10 copies of Spysweeper. Full version $10 not a joke and well worth it.

P.s. It may have been a special but its worth a shot.

Thanks for this great info.

I've ran all the spy checkers and hijack this. Also Mcafee Virus scan. I'm still having a problem with my AOL dial connection. Something is still taking over when I dial up. Its one of those diallers but I can't get shot of it.

Could you please have a look at the hijack log as I am not confident at what to remove. Or could you direct me to someone who could please. file attached

Have you tried using another browser? AOL isn't dubbed AOHELL for no reason ;).

EDIT:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe

C:\WINDOWS\System32\xxyy\ijckjimi.exe

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [xxyy] C:\WINDOWS\System32\xxyy\ijckjimi.exe

Google up them, and find out what they are.

Just found this thread thanks to d3's article, and first off, nice post KB :).

I have always wanted to try AVG but didn't know if I could do so while running Norton's. I know that there are some viruscan programs that cannot run together, and i don't want to remove norton's completely. Does anyone use AVG and norton's together? If so, is there anything special i have to do?

I run Norton's 2002.
