Abit Is7 Bios Only Shows Agp Up To 4x

I have a Abit IS7 M/B, the documentation I read say's that it supports 8x AGP. In my bios, it doesn't show anything over 4x to select? I updated the bios and no difference. Any thing I'm missing? When I put the 8x card in I get lots of squares and colors all over the screen, I can make out some of what should be displayed on the screen, but not all.

wierd. what's the card? and try the latest drivers as you probably know. if you can get to windows, try forcing 8x within windows.. like ATI's Smartgart setting in the control panel. not familiar with nVidias panel

The card is my ATI 9500pro, It was working fine in my DFI Lanparty board. Even if I let it boot into windows, I couldn't read enough to change anything.

Have you tried resetting your mobo bios and then going back in to the bipos and see what your options are?

As far as "clear Cmos" yes, even took the battery out for 10 minutes. I was hoping that there was some setting I might have wrong. I guess I'll keep hunting.
