Try using control +C to close folding first then restart your machine, also it depends on the amount of time you set it at for a restore or restart point, I think 15 minutes is default on the OCC installer so if you fold 14 minutes and stop it, it will go back to that restart point, I think that is how it works.

Are you using the GUI or 'text console' F@H application? <_<

CTRL + C keys required to shutdown the 'text' version properly ;)

otherwise...

Right click whilst (cursor) hovering over F@H symbol in system tray, and quit ;)

Ending F@H inappropriately will/can cause re-starts :)

well i havent had problems with the restarts since then, but could not using -forceasm be the problem?

if so, how could i re-enable it without having to reinstall the program?

Not having the -forceasm flag would defiinitely explain why you would see it slow way down if you stopped the F@H client and restarted it.

I didn't see your answer to Taz's question - which version are using running and how do you launch it?

CBass- start a new topic and restate your question so we can address it there. Tell us what version you are running and how you launch it, etc.

Try looking at this thread and see if the explanation of ading flags to your shortcut helps. If you installed as a service using the OCC installer, you'll have to go to the registry.
