I Think I Fudged Something Up

Okay, so i was doing some cleansing of my computer...i recently had malware, so i ran adaware, spybot, cwshredder, hijackthis, and also removed ms java vm, since i read it's no longer used and has vulnerabilities.

So in other words, i messed around with a lot. It's always best, when dealing with computers, to do one thing at a time, so if you screw up, you know what to do to fix it...but of course i didn't do that. I wanted the malware gone and my system safe, so i did everything at once, hoping to nip it all in the butt and prevent future infection at the same time.

Well now it seems that no matter how many windows i have open, only the first one i open appears in the taskbar. In other words, if i open up IE, then IE will appear in the taskbar like normal. when i go to open a second IE window...it never appears. Same if i open a folder, program, game, anything. If i minimize something that wasn't the first thing i opened, the only way i can access it is by alt-tabbing. I'm guessing i must of deleted some registry entry or something i shouldn't have, but i haven't a clue. Anyone know what would cause something like this?

I'm going to sleep now, but i'll check back tomorrow...hopefully someone can help me :( Thanks guys

yeah, i dunno what i did either. lol. but somehow it's normal again. I didn't do anything special. I just shut down my computer last night, and turned it on about an hour ago. Everything's fine. I ran norton's and it found nothing. Maybe it was just i was low on virtual memory, cause i had gotten that message earlier in the night, but then freed some up and everything was fine. shrug. who knows...as long as it works. i should probably reformat and reinstall windows though...hmm.
