skop3 Posted September 2, 2002 Posted September 2, 2002 when you transfer stuff from my other comp to my good comp,, 700 mbs takes about 6 mins.. and it should be faster.. just wondering if you can change the speed of the transfering
mikeock Posted September 2, 2002 Posted September 2, 2002 if using windows you can change your network card config to use 100 mb full rather than 10mb or 100 /half duplex
Ronin Posted September 2, 2002 Posted September 2, 2002 yes, you're probably running at 10mb/s(half-duplex. Enable 100mb/s(full-duplex) if your router supports it. Also make sure its a direct network conenction (ie doesnt go throguh anything but the router) uhh...beyond that I hope you dont have slow hdds. Ronin Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 yes, the problem may only be in one but you should check both.
mikeock Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 check them both and move them both to 100 full duplex if that is an option on both of them ... network speeds wil be so much quicker then
