Change Boot Time And Temperature

I thought maybe I could get some opinions on this because windows is so lame

I switched from roaming network profiles to local profiles on windows xp, ever since my cpu has been running 36C instead of 33C and instead of taking just over 4 secconds to load it now takes over 25 secconds.

My theory, since roaming profiles have a much smaller chunk of data in the registry and windows/netware login unloads uneeded dll's while using a roaming profile as the default user could I try to set up a roaming profile off a seccond local hard-drive to possibly cut down on registry use and such?
