bigred Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 new socket though. the 3.6 is not going to be availible in socket 478 form from what I'm hearing. Intel also wants to do away with ATX, AGP and standard DDR. the memory is the only thing AMD is fighting not to change. think of it this way, new socket, means new mobo, which means new ram, new video card, new case, new power supply, new cpu cooling... it's just not good for us hardware junkies. For exaple:MX440-->5600U-->9500Pro. FIC AU13--> (soon to be) Shuttle AN35N-Ultra.
