Bboy Satch Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 well i have my FSB at 150 with dram 333mhz. I was wondering what does AGP lock do? I think in my bios setting its called "AGP/PCI Frequency(mhz)." I have it set to Auto, but there are 3 other options. 66.66/33.33, 72.73/36.36, 80.00/40.00. I have no clue what these do or if i should set it to any excpet auto. I set the agp frequency to 66.66/33.33 for an experiment and when i rebooted, the screen constantly flickered and the picture was like fuzzy and stuff. So what is AGP/PCI Frequensy??? Some_Guy_ Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Well, that's the speed at which your AGP and PCI devices run. Default is 66.3/33.3, so I don't know why your video card was freaking out when you set it to that. You're just best to leave it at default. Too much risk of frying something for no performance gain. Bboy Satch Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 how can i check the AGP speed if its auto??
Some_Guy_ Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Auto should be 66. This isn't really anything you need to worry about. It's a "set and forget" sort of thing. If you're thinking about overclocking your video card or whatever, this isn't how you do it. Use coolbits for that. Just Google for coolbits.reg.
