korn4266 Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I just install the newest omega drivers and if doesn't recommend using the fast write for video. What do you guys say?? Will I lose performance and fps in games?
slugbug3311 Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 Iv always wondered what that does, i have a setting in my bois to turn it on and off. I just keep it on because i dont notice any difference with it off or on.
r_target Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 I think Omega turns it off because it causes problems for some people.I never noticed much difference either way.Supposed to be better to leave it on on 9600's.I haven't had any probs with it on on my 9600xt or 9800Pro.I guess turn it off if you're troubleshooting a hard lock or BSOD. korn4266 Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 well i installed the omega drivers and ran 3dmark2001 and i increased atleast 1000 points. However the omega drivers didn't disable fast write and i can't get it to disable in the control panel. I don't even have an option to disable it in my bios
sykocus Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 enable it, it increases performace, but if you start having problems while playing games, disable it.
