IoDd64 Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 well.. whenever i stop folding, i get a weird message. saying my internet connection has been lost. and the only reason i dont fold sometimes is my temps have sky rocketed int he last few days.. i saw 65C in mbm...i do have circulation/ everytime i loose connection, i have to go into network conections, disable it, unplug my modem, wait 20seconds, and turn it on again and re-enable everything for my internet to come back... anyone no the problem? srry for any spelling or grammar, my fingers are frozen tonight, its pretty cold out for a week that has been in the high 60-70 range. ClayMeow Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 well i dunno why you get that problem (hopefully my bumping this up will cause someone else to reply), but as far as your temp problem goes, i think you should do something about that, because you realize that if it's getting that high with [email protected], then that means it's probably getting that high when you play the newest games as well, which is not good...trust me...i overheated last year playing NWN and WIII....not a fun thing when your comp won't boot up. alxxx Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 i had a similar problem, don,t know if the same applies to you cos i have a usb modem, anyway i found out on another forum that the pci slots share irqs or dma's or something like that with other things on your mobo, in my case i had to change my lan card to another slot cos the one that it was in shared irq/dma with my onboard usb, like i say i don't know if this applies to you cos you've got a better mobo than me, and the only thing that i have that is the same as you is my cpu/fan, so i dont know but it might be worth a try. also claymeow is right about those temps, my room temp is 26c/79f but my cpu is 42c right now and i'm foldin aswell
IoDd64 Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 i have decent circulation in my case. 1 120mm fan sucking full power all the time, and 2 exhaust 80mm. and then my hsf. im saving for a w/c unit so temps wont be bothersome soon.. to alxxx im using my mobos integrated ethernet. to Yayap, i dunno, its been acting funny lately, ive updated my routers firmware, the service is from WOW, and man do i hate them, this isnt the first time this has happened. a few months back i had to switch 6 different modems with them.....I really want my comcast back. I think with your same name I dunno but maybe I just dunno what im talking about. i've never played any final fantasy game, so i doubt it was me...but i also doubt there'd be anyone else with this name...i've yet to encounter another "claymeow"....the boards i've used this name on (that i can remember), are/were daoc (vnboards i think?), evanescense, jk2, emule, dii, and everwars (no, not everquest).
