Propane Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Well Gentoo's pretty much my comfort zone as bizarre as that statement seems.. I'm the most horribly retentive system builder so I go full stage1 from scratch usually. I was only considering FreeBSD cause the bf is getting me into it and it seems so much easier >< and also its something different to tool around with now that Gentoo is cake. Then again maybe I will never fold! who knows.. Im not good at retaining systems that aren't immediately useful to me (and I don't consider running a distributed compting client something immediately useful to me no matter how much a geek status symbol it is). I'm sleepy and have mixed feelings right now, knowing that I need to build my mother a new computer is not helping my enthusiasm.. FreeBSD puts gentoo to shame so I do recomend trying it but just beware that if you want to set um FAH you have to do it in a jailed linux environment (or wine if you can already do that)
