AYoKoNA Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 I'm on the SETI team too now.. last time I checked I was rank 69 ^-^ Are you another Woman that overclocks on OCC? If you are that is awesome, female members have grown in size more recently. Exangel, make sure you Fold for us as well, but don't run both clients on the same machine. Our folding team needs all the help we can get.

Nemo Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 female members have grown in size more recently. Hmmm... I know folding is addictive, but I didn't know that weight gain was a side affect as well

exangel Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 (edited) I never got into folding.. my spare machine #1 has a use that prevents me from turning it into a folding box. Spare machine #2 I might turn into a 24/7 Gentoo or FreeBSD that could be used for folding, pending a PSU.. I've got nothing left in my toy budget though, so it'll be a couple weeks ; _ ; Yes I am .. another woman.. sadly I am getting bigger.. but I got new in-line skates so i hope to compress myself... edit: I want my alien icon ^-^ Edited June 9, 2004 by exangel
Propane Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 go gentoo for folding... its hard to get folding working on bsd if you dont have a very big knowledge of jailed environments
exangel Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Well Gentoo's pretty much my comfort zone as bizarre as that statement seems.. I'm the most horribly retentive system builder so I go full stage1 from scratch usually. I was only considering FreeBSD cause the bf is getting me into it and it seems so much easier >< and also its something different to tool around with now that Gentoo is cake. Then again maybe I will never fold! who knows.. Im not good at retaining systems that aren't immediately useful to me (and I don't consider running a distributed compting client something immediately useful to me no matter how much a geek status symbol it is). I'm sleepy and have mixed feelings right now, knowing that I need to build my mother a new computer is not helping my enthusiasm..
