i know this has probably been asked a million times before, but since im kinda new at this building computers stuff, what is the difference between the different kinds of hard drives? SATA, SCSI, RAID0, RAID1, IDE, etc. and if i was to buy one, maybe 80gig or so, what would be the best to get, with a very tight budget in mind?

Well you should read up on each individual setup if you want to know the diff'c but in summary.

IDE and SATA are basically the same with a BURST rate of data, rather than SCSI being Sustained/Continous rate of data...

Raid is an array you can run to make the drives work together to create faster transfer rates.

You can run Sata Raid, SCSI raid, IDE raid, whatever...
