Marine Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 ok well it seems like my computer will not stay on when i start up aim with regular clock speeds even. Then with everything at clock speeds my computer just randomly reboots like a hard reboot. This then occurs when i try to crank my fsb only a little bit then it just does a hard boot anyways. I put a ss of MBM5 my volts are fine and everything do you guys have any idea why it still does it when i open aim at regular speeds and it does it anyways if i just overclock a little bit? This is really frustrating any ideas would be great. Also i did post somewhere else that my computer just won't except PC2100 256mb ram. JackRussell Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Ya I heard that your computer is supposed to slow down before the reboot occurs. I noticed you have Norton... I read in some article that Symantec has been recently finding some more fundamental bugs in their wares. Try FreeScan on the McAfee page just in case if Norton doesn't find anything. Marine Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 nah it's not a virus ik it's not i have reformated since it started doing it. idc this computer is really warn out right now my temps are crazy idk why but i'm thinking it's just cause it's hot in this room i'm not gonna tamper with this machine anymore it's to old now and tired so i'll just wait till after i get a car then i will build a new computer. This thing has had it it's good for cod and a few other games but i'm gonna let it retire soon. Don't worry it will still be folding.
