exeter_acres Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 make sure you've got every thing in Yes dear! but seriously.... reinstall EVERYTHING.... never know what was moved during a switch... In one of my boxes I have an older PCI vid card... if I move the box around too much the card comes out of the slot just a bit (and yes it is screwed in...) so you never know Report back..! Operation Filth Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 Hrm, all good advice. Your motherboard documentation states that 3 beeps: Main memory read/write test error. For 6 beeps: Keyboard controller BAT test error. What type of RAM do you have? 184-pin unbuffered PC3200/2700/2100 DIMMS is what your motherboard documentation says it supports. Make sure they a properly seated. And if that doesnt work then you could get any memory testing software, I recommend memtest86 (http://www.memtest86.com/) As for the possibility of it being the keyboard just make sure you have it plugged in properly, if its a PS/2 connection, than make sure its in the purple plug. iIf its USB you really cant go wrong . Best I can do for you so far. Let us know how it goes. Sincerely, Filth
