Iggy Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Hey guys, I've hapened to come across an old Maze 2 with an Eheim 1048, DD cooling cube radiator (now discontinued), and a Innovatek Res with 3/8" fittings for cheap. I NEED to watercool before june, and I'm wondering if this setup would cool better better than my Sp-97 and Tornado @ 3000 rpm. I would mount the radiator externally and be using at least 1 120mm fan blowing at least 70 cfm.
DarkScorpion Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 It SHOULD but no guarantees here. Try and use a really high CFM fan on the rad or find a different block. I would REALLY suggest getting a new pump, though, that cube radiator will take a whole bunch of water pressure away. Jut try it out to see (if you can) and test the temps. Remember to leak test! FanATIc205 Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 will probally cool about the same using stock or close to stock voltage. the water will make much less noise, but i see alot of people on air cooling with better temps using a resonable voltage than my water setup. i can do high voltages at alot lower of a temp over air cooling thou. Iggy Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Ok, if my results would be that boderline I'll probably just keep saving for a Maze 4 setup with a Via Aqua 1300 and a large heater core.
