lorne Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 This is a good place to start learning http://forums.overclockersclub.com/?showtopic=18326
Rick_fourdumbkids Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 go with the volcano 12 and about overclocking enter bios on boot up and up your fsb in small increments of about 2-3 mhz but my suggestion is do not over clock until your tottally aware of what each option in your bios does overclocking is relatively easy but it can also costs alot of money if you screw up so just read a load of how to's (there's one on this site) read a load of forum posts about it (several hundred on this site) and then your good to go

Which has incredible limitations. That's a KT333 board, so it won't take kindly to a fsb over 133. Don't even get me started. My suggestion is get either a Volcano 12 or Silent Boost cooler, and, depending on your budget, get either a DFI LANparty NFII Ultra B (expensive board) or NFII Ultra Infinity (almost exactly the same but without the cool colours, SATA, and useless crap)
lorne Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 If you have the money get a thermalright SP-97 and a good 92mm fan like a panaflo. The SP-97 is the best heatsink for AMD period.
cocnutman Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 I just got the Sp 97 with a panfolio bx fan =)
lorne Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Nice!! Make sure you get some arctic silver 5 with it, you can't go the best on the heatsink and not on the Paste. That would be just wrong
