xboarder Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Ok, I have been trying to make a backup copy of the GTA Vice City cd so that my original cd doesn't get scratched when I play it all the time. When I burn it, it seems to burn all the files to the new cd but when I pop that cd in, it doesn't boot the game up. Does anyone know what's going on? I am using Nero 5 to burn it. LobbDogg Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 (edited) You've probably got the copy protection kicking in, its the game companie's attempt to reduce piracy, even though it is your own purchased game. Nero really wasn't made to bypass copy protection at all. It might do some, but it won't do most of the games out there.
