twohig5 Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 i'm using IE right now and it's not that badwhat are some of the advantages of foxfire over IE like faster load times or something ie typically has the most exploits found in it, partly because its the most popular browser on the net the others have nice things like built in pop up blockers, and tabbed browsing sp2 will add popup blocking though
andrusk Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 FireFox is king over all. Use it, love it, obey it.

ciddono Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I'm with d3, opera, always.
ravix Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Opera always had too many pointless options for me. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance, but I prefer a barebones, quick (free) browser with just the features you need. IE: Firefox. EternityEight Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 You get the norms that use IE cos they think there is nothing better to use.... then you get the cool kids that use firefox then you get the people that have actually tried opera, and know how much BETTER it is than both
OweO2004 Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 I run Aol 9.0 beta along with Opera. I have to run AOL to get on the net but prefer to use Opera cos its faster.

xtry51 Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 Personally I have used firefox and opera and still have gone back to IE6. IE is very easy to use and if you run a popup blocker (google is probably the best free blocker out right now) there's no problems. I mean, it's a web browser. If you have a half decent internet connection there is no time difference in loading pages. As long as you can bookmark and type in an internet address, what else do you really need a WEB BROWSER to do? There's really no performance gains with firefox or opera. Just another program taking up space. For all of those still using AOL dialup, please stop, you're only hurting yourselves. Get Netzero if you really can't afford better, or go to DSL/Cable and let AOL die in peace.
