DaddyD302 Posted August 19, 2002 Posted August 19, 2002 For some odd reason my comp won't boot to desktop. It won't or can't see my HD. All I see is auto-dedect ide Hd, not Maxtor 40G like normal. It dedects everything else. When this happens I have to replug the cables in again then it'll see the HD. It's been happening for a couple of days now, from time to time. What's wrong??? Is it my mobo or HD? I checked the cables, even switch them, nothing works. I did have this problem ealier when I first purchased the mobo, when it failed to reconize the HD, cdrw, and dvd rom. For some odd reason it went away till now. Help me please, I'm about to throw my comp off a cliff.

I did, it's master. It on it's own cable. Only the cdrw and dvd share the other cable. Now I'm starting to think that my HD is dieing.
