CheeseMan42 Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 well i know this is a computer site but ive been helped before so i thought why not try again (and a TI-83 is kind of a computer right ). alright so anyway i need to know how to solve this algebraically. cosx=cos2x. i just couldn't figure it out. and if possible this one as well sinx/(1+cosx) + (1=cosx)/sinx = 2cotxsecx any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Mr_Yuck Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 (edited) for the first one, it looks like it is 90*, but that's just what i see...it's been a long time since i did trig identities, and i left my trig book and notebook at school. EDIT: IGNORE ABOVE I THINK <_< I think just use the trig identities which i cant remember... here's my lame attempt on the first one with paint. EDIT: Wait, since cos=1/sec, then sec=1/cos, therefore cos . sec = 1 therefore: 1/2=x i think...
