My PC boots to CMOS info dated 2009 each time I boot.

Do I need a new CMOC battery, and can it be fitted while running?

I did this, but it seems as if the replacement battery is dead, or there are more problems. I'm trying to post pics to the PC atmo.

Will get back to you.

Thank you.

So, first boot, date: 1/1/2009

Adjustment: second boot 1/6/2081

That wasn't all, but I can't load pics.

I had a blue screen that mentioned Inaccessible Boot Device.

I am in windows now and seems no problems with it once I'm in, but worried that C drive might be dying.

It is an SSD that my son had in his computer.

Hmmmmmm

did you choose load setup defaults in the bios after installing your battery and make sure your settings are correct?

Hi Bosco.

A trail of changes to cables was the cause of everything. Playing Elite Dangerous

AOC monitor can go 144 Hz. So cable change 1 was to DVI cable.  Screen in game seemed to become smoky or dusty over time.

Cable change 2 was to DP and that was when the trouble started. (The battery was also flat) new one tested ok.

Cable change 3 back to HDMI fixed everything. (Game running at 60 Hz)

I wanted to write all this here, as it is info that may be helpful if OCC have a help channel.

Thanks for your replies.
